Just bought a 1969 280 SE 4dr

A friend of mine was getting out of the auto biz and sold me a 69 280 SE he had in his collection for 8 years, he had bought it from the original owner. It has 44,000 orig miles, never been hit, a few tiny rust spots. A/C needs some work, I put back brakes and flushed the brake fluid and cleaned the master cyl. It is white with charcoal interior, seats are perfect, could use the wood refinish. What do you think it is worth, I 'm not sure I am going to keep it. Model # is 108.018, fuel injected. Also it has the bullet style front amber turn signals, he said it means something, I don't know what, most have ones that looks like a small fog light.

sounds nice! I have the bullet indicators on my car too.

Based off what I have seen over the last 2 years I would think easily a few thousand. depends a lot though and photos would really help

Rust is a big one as I guess most would assume a full rust fix and respray would be the only way to fix it properly.

wood can be pricey to re-do and dash wood is a pain to get out

I paid a *lot more than 5k for my 68 280se 4dr 6cyl and it has been hit before but had a really nice paint job, new carpet, great wood, rebuilt injection, perfect headliner, perfect seats, new modern mercedes seatbelts, A/C, power windows, great chrome and most important. it was the colour i wanted
