What is this switch for (67 w108)?

Can anyone tell me what the switch to the right of the hazard switch is for? I've checked all the interior/ext lights and it doesn't seem to do anything.
It's not shown in my owners manual. Not that I can read much of it anyways since it's in German lol
Here is a picture of it:

Looks like the windshield wiper switch... does your horn work?
If not, I'd look at the fuse since the wipers and horn were usually on the same fuse.

I'm talking about the black round switch on the dash, next to the hazard switch. Horn and wipers work.

Wow, my 67 w108 dash looks different than that, is it a right hand drive. That is strange. Do you have a cigg lighter? or sunroof?

I'll just throw this out there: In my '73 280 w114, that knob (along with the hazard light control) is on the other side of steering wheel, near the radio. It controls the rear defroster. Pulling the knob out activates it.

Rear window defroster would be my guess also.

That makes sense, I have no rear defroster.

I didn't think about the rear defroster, I'll try that.
Thanks!

Once I got the radio working, I realized it is the fade control for the speakers.
