Exactly -- thats why I am pulling whats left of my hair out. I have replaced, ECU with a known good one, Coolant temp sender, 100 C sender (fan was always on), throttle body / switch set it to specs on bench and in car, found a vac leak on one of the round rubber couplers which connectthe two halves of the intake along with all the injector seals while it was apart, prior to my getting car fuel pump and plugs and rotor replaced. I am really running in circles at this point. I cant see how the trigger points could be bad I took them out and they were dry and clean with no sign of pitting etc ---- this car only has 27411 miles on it. I will say that there has been small improvement in running of car after each repair. Now the car will start right up cold and idle up around 1200 - 1500 rpm and then after a few mins will gradually idle down to 200 - 300 rpm and kind of chug and die after about a minute - If car is at tempature you HAVE to throttle it to get it to start - it will not start warm without doing so - which makes me think vacumm leak but I sure cant find one. I can keep it running at around 1800 - 2000 rpm - anything below that it will idle and then gradually lose rpm and die.
