calling all or any 280S experts
I am starting to understand that my 1971 280S with a six cylinder is not a very popular vehicle at all. I have posted numerous requests with no replys. I have exhausted all known research sources and still the car sits under a cover in the driveway.
Problems: main issue is it will not idle. Ignition has been converted to electronic and is sound.
1. I have no Idea where the vacuum lines connect to from the 2 and 3 way switches and manifold, advance and retard side of distributor. Anybody have a diagram or picture?
2. Carburetors have been professionally rebuilt but the idle shutoff solenoids have been disabled. I believe this is a sensible modification? I hope so because they cannot be bought anywhere.
3. My Zenith carburetors do not have a dashpot on them. Is this OK?
