Which vintage MB model does this hubcap belong to?

I got this one from a garage sale, can anyone identify the car it belongs to? My uneducated guess is an SL. 15" in diameter, one-piece, 12 holes. There is no part # on it.

W210 1996 E320 Exterior Smoke Silver, Interior Mushroom, 159,999 miles as of 09/09/09, 170K as of 02/01/2011.

Most likely it would be a hub cap for the W108.

15" hubcap for 15" wheel? 15" wheels would be a rare option, particularly in the US. More common on an ambulance or something like that. I think the 600 had 15" wheels standard. You can buy these new from MB for what it is worth...

Currently: 1967 250 SL, 1963 220Sb, 1965 300SE Lang, 1971 280SE parts car, 1972 Alfa GTV, 1965 Alfa Duetto, 1993 BMW R100R
Past: 1971 250 C, 1985 300 TD, 1967 250 S, 1968 280 S,1981 300 D, 1982 280CE, 3 Facel Vegas, Borgward Isabella Coupe, Alfa 2600 Sprint, Volvo P1900 (yes), numerous less interesting Volvos, ...

Caps of that kind are mostly for W123.
Ambulances and other special conversions.

Maybe this is a aftermarket part.
