450 SL Headlight Switch Symbols - Help

Greetings - I know I really need to get a manual...So I just had my 79 repainted and it looks great! As soon as I arrived home I was trying all the electrical components to ensure they connected them properly. I was able to get my radio working again and replaced a few fuses. My fog lights were not working. I moved my lights switch around (honestly forget how they turned on) and now my bettery is dead. I cant recall proper positioning of the switch. I have symbols "P" to the right I have an "0" position, followed by two headlight symbols. I have the ability to turn to the left w/0 a symbol. I can also pull the switch out toward me...

Can you tell me
1 - How to ensure all lights are out when parked?
2 - What is the proper way to turn on the fog lamps.

Any additional insight is greatly appreciated as always. Thanks so much!

1 - The knob's arrow should be pointing to "O" to make sure all lights are off.
2 - Turn your knob one step clockwise (park lights) then pull the knob once. That should turn on the foglights. If your vehicle is equipped with a rear foglight, one more pull (2nd pull) from that of the foglight.

Hope this helps.

You might also want to go over to the R/C 107 forum. There are quite a few highly dedicated nutcases there that can (and will) give you an answer for just about any question you have. There is a sticky topic at the top of the forum called the Encyclopedia Germanica v107 (EGv107) that has a massive amount of information that could answer many a question without needing to start a specific thread.

Remember: It's not just a car. It's an Adventure.
