Good luck with the engine swap,
it would pay to talk to someone local who does engine swaps,
just looking at the initial setup without knowing what the story is. You would need to sort out the setup of a wiring loom. and the same setup for the gearbox.
measure up axles / diff etc check mounts for both gbx and engine depending on power difference, look at brakes, which could include new master cylinder, discs and calipers, possibly have a play around with the steering too as it might require a bigger pump.
i dont know too much about mercedes electronics, however have done some time on BMW and know that there are certain things that must match up between engine and gearbox i.e signatures that can only be set at the factory or by a licensed technician.
anyways i hope that makes it a bit clearer (or not!)

best of luck.
