WD-40, silicone, nut buster, p.b. blaster, is not explosive enough. A small two second spary is more then enough of starting fluid. It will try to kick, then try a little more. But dont over use it, it's like crack for diesel engine's.
Glow plug's are not even used over 45/50* so I dont know why you even want to bother with them right now.
There have been a few diesel's I had to run on starting fluid for 10 second's or so until the system was free of air. Those would be car's I bleed properly. Even though they where fully primed, i had to spray them before they would run on their own.
