How much is this worth?

Help me put a value here... I know it's worth as much as someone is willing to pay, but I am curious as to what you guys think I should be asking and what I should be willing to take.

To this day I get 2-3 emails per week, (not as often as while the ad was running on ebay) for cash, sight unseen... I delete them, because they make so sense... My question is, what should I expect to get taking into account pro's and con's? Would it be wise to donate her and get the tax write-off? I am not really motivated at all, as she is all I have right now and my wife is driving the truck, but if an interesting offer came up and someone cool wanted to take care of her, I would reluctantly sign her off... She is my daily driver, 233 miles to LAX from Fresno once a week, when I can't get a flight to work... cruises at 65 mph even over the grapevine

I haven't a clue as to value, but I can tell you that donating it is a waste of your time. Whoever it's donated to will toss it on the auction block, and whatever it gets at auction is what your write-off is, regardless of actual value.

I'm curious as to why you think the offers of cash, sight unseen make no sense? What's wrong with cash? I'd agree with you though if it were the BS cashier's checks, but for cash, there are those who trade in them and might just want whatever parts are there. Of course if it's a ridiculous sum offered that might be a concern as well.

Good luck with it. It looks pretty good overall, if I had the time and a place to work on it I'd be tempted.

The vertical forward part of the CRJ tail section is a lot stronger than the rear vertical section, where the rudder is... Plus the Super80 hit it with the winglet... If you see in the video, the winglet hit it and it "slid off" the top, spinning the 700 around. If it had been hit at the same level but from behind (the rudder section), with the leading edge of the wing and not the winglet, it would have chopped it off, like the Thai 747 did on the French ERJ a while back.
At LAX it is common to see 6-7 feet of 747 wing over us from up front, while holding short.
Nothing wrong with serious cash offers, but at $2 and $3K is not worth my time... the valley mentality here is "selling a car means you are foreclosing on your house and you will take anything. With more than 17% unemployment and the unemployment benefits extended, everyone is looking for an easy way to make cash, on top of everything else... don't get me started.
