Check the rods activating the throttle and MFI pump for correct synchronization. the ball ends can get sloppy and worn, I've packed them with aluminum foil to tighten temporarily.
Check the spark plugs for correct color rich/lean.
You should get a crisp throttle response.
cold start valve can dribble onto the a/f mix.
I think the w113 website has the instructions to set-up the MFI correctly.
