difference between US & Euro W108

Is there a parts interchangeability chart somewhere between Euro & US-spec?

In other words, is there a way to figure out specific differences between parts for a US-spec or Euro W108? Or any of you guys can point out some similarities & differences?

Theres a shocking difference in prices for some parts.

2 examples: a set of brake rotors would cost me $334 locally, but starting at $76 at Rockauto. Distributor rotor+cap+breaker points over here $125, same set starts from $15 at Rockauto. And I dont feel like unecessarily sponsoring the local dealer's marble floor

Of course for small parts, its a matter of just taking the loss if it doesnt fit, but shipping can make heavyer parts less attractive if there's a chance they wont fit.

Please post your experiences

Euro pricing

It appears that the distribution channels in Europe are locked tight. The disparity of pricing is real.
Over here in USA the free market and competition brings parts prices down.

For example I have a Swiss friend who comes here on vacation and returns with parts. German made parts are cheaper here, carried back and still cheaper. Exception is MBZ exclusive parts, but general maintenance parts are cheap here. I've bought rotors at $38 each.

What parts do you need?

Some places will do shipping.
