Window seals for w108

Hi everybody!

Thought I'd take the 280s out of the garage today for a short spin. Just so the brakes wouldn't fasten too badly during the cold Norwegian winter. Luckily that is soon being replaced by the more vintage-car-friendly spring!
But when i pulled it out of its sheets this morning i saw that the cloth-gaskets surrounding the doorwindows was badly torn. I therefore decided that I would like to replace them before the spring. I found a set on a german-site (dbdepot.de) They wanted 131 euro for a comlete set of 4 gaskets. Here is a link to the site:Ersatzteile für Ihren Mercedes Benz, Spare Parts for Classic Cars Daimler W 107, C 107, R 107, W 108, W 109, W 110, W 111, W 112, W 113, W 114, W 115, W 116, W 123, W 126, Ersatzteile W 107, C 107, R 107, W 108, W 109, W 110, W 111, W 112, W 113, W 1 Is this a good price, does any of you have experience iin replacing them? Is it much work, difficult? Thankfull for any replies.

Just adding a couple of pics of the old sealings so you can see how worn they actually are!

No one else responding?

This is a big job X4

And the time to do all the internal door maintenance if you get into this job

I did this job (all 4) once.....

Figure 4 hours per door on a nice sunny warm day here in San Diego. I need to do this job on a few W108 W111cars but have not enjoyed the thought of doing this again.

I just had my front two window seals replaced on my W114. I had troubles sourcing the genuine or even aftermarket window seals so I ended up geting a continuous length from that ebay guy in turkey that does all the aftermarket mouldings. I think I paid US$90 for a 10 meter length which is enough to do all four. Just had to cut notches for the corners and stuff but fit and feel like factory ones for cheaper price. I think the guys name on ebay is 'w114selo' if you wanna give him a try. Im not sure if the generic continuous length will also fit w108 but message the bloke on ebay - he's pretty helpful.

Some people frown on using aftermarket parts but I always think its better to be able to afford a well maintained old merc that u can drive and enjoy than have it off the road while u save up for genuine parts.

So I've got a long piece of the same fuzzy stuff, hidden somewhere in storage. What's the job entail? Taking out the old stuff, cleaning out any glue, and gluing in the new ones? Given 4 hours per door, it sounds more complicated - I'd love to read a procedure!
