removing springs help

i need to remove the springs on my 1977 w123, front and rear and have no idea how iv given it a go and have almost gotn front out but the spring compressors i have arent too good so is their a way without? if so please help me out, cheers

There is no way to get them out without a spring compressor, rent one at autozone, it's free.
You'll have to take your shocks out for both front and back though.
The front shocks need to be taken out so you can get at the spring with a compressor, and the rear needs to be taken out so you can get the spring out once it's compressed.

And get the proper spring compressor. That would be an internal one. Trying to do the springs with the wrong type of compressor can cause serious bodily harm.

Do not use spring compressors from Auto Zone or any other store. The correct type is the Klan style spring compressor. They are available for rent from people who own them. The spring compressor has two flat plates with holes for the very large screw that goes down from above.
