Hi, first of all, nice ride! I love these lowriders
Second: I have bought my first car (I'm 21): 1969 250C (coupe). It has been sitting for 20 years and I've rebuilt carbs, brakes, driveshaft, gear levers etc. I'd like to keep it close to stock, but I'm looking for good (K&N) air filters that make a nice sound
I got it running 160 kph (100 mph) once, without air filters. I don't know if this means my engine is still good. It has very little blowby coming out of the valve cover.
I saw you have K&N filters, could you please tell me where you bought them and what type they are? I have the twin Zenith carbs, the air filters hole dia should be around 135mm if I remember it right.
I have a TIG welder, so my last option would be to weld an air filter housing myself and place a standard K&N filter. But I like those that you have since they show more of the engine and carbs.
Other things I'd like to change is put wheel spacers to get those original rims more even with the body, and also lower the car a few inches. Not too much though. 2 inches would do. Can I just cut a piece of those springs?
Here's two pictures of my (p)ride
