also it starts in park now when i jump the starter fires right up first time, every time.. but dont want to have to get out of my car every time and jump her with a needle nose, rather stay warm inside and do it with the key ya know.

i also took of distributor cap and tried to clean it just in case there was corrosion or water in it, after cleaning i started up the car and it ran different, slow and not so responsive.. not good things have been constantly going down hill with this car. time to get new plugs cap and rotor haha. Im going to check the connection from the relay to the starter tomorrow hope its a corroded wire. The VI is the violet wire and that runs from the starter to the relay, checking that for a short and go from there.

Yes - your ignition switch. Have you considered that everything you're replacing might have cost you more than replacing the ignition switch at the outset?

Pulled the switch today. it took me forever to get those 3 screws on the male end of the switch off the ignition. Once I finally got the male part of the switch out, I noticed the end the goes into the ignition had metal peices all inside of it. I think when I went to turn the ignition the end peices broke of the ignition broke off inside of the switch itself. I got a new male switch but it looks to me the end of the ignition itself broke off.. Bummers. Trying to take off ignition tomorrow. I got one bolt out and ran out of light, ignition is really lose now but cant figure out how to pull it off the steering column.. Any one know how to do this?!? Marsh
