1972 280SE Totaled out at $6k.

Im trying to look for some pictures I took of it, but my friends 1972 Mercedes got totaled out. I was surprised when he said they were giving him $5950 for it. As the damage done to it was hardly that much. The car was still perfectly drivable. All that needed replaced was the 2 front fenders and the grille. Everything else was fine. And the grille was just bent a little.

What happened was a tow truck had backed into the front of it.

I had formatted my phone not long ago and so I dont have the pictures of it anymore, but Im trying to recover them.

Buy it Back

So buy it back from the insurance co. for $500, spend another $2500 to fix it up right, and you've got another $2950 to continue restoration.

Salvage title is the only drawback if it's truely just fenders and grill

What insurance company was it? Was it a policy with agreed-upon value?
