w108 dies when I press on the brakes!

My w108 has been dieing when I press down on the brakes. What causes this? I'm thinking the vaccum is loading down on the engine. It does it every so often with the lights off but driving at night with the lights on it does it every time. What do yal think? THANKS!!!!

I think the check valve between the intake manifold and brake booster isn't working anymore. This creates a air leak, so the mixture control doesn't work.

think you were partly right. It did need a new check valve, i blew through each side and it had free airflow through both. It's supposed to block off through the out let side. I put a new one of those on but it is still doing the same thing. The check valve just makes it so you have pressure to brake when your engine dies. Any other suggestions? Anyone think its a vaccum problem?

The other suggestion is the booster is leaking and is most likely shot, had to replace mine to the tune of $280...

With the car off pump the brake pedal until it gets hard, hold it and start the car, if it never gets hard or fails to drop the booster is shot.
