Throttle Linkage Bushings (under hood)

Hello, We're having a difficult time finding throttle shaft bushings for an older model. The MB is 1970, 300SEL, 3.5 liter motor, fuel injected. The bushings are missing so can't describe them. The bushings support the long link from a bracket on the firewall (spring loaded at this end) to a boss cast into the intake manifold. This is the longest link in the throttle maze. I imagine a plastic marble of about 1/2" to 3/4" in diameter, cot in half with about a 5/16" hole drilled in the center. The rod would enter the flat side. I have gotten (wrong) a plastic grey spherical bushing with two small pins on it. This is for the accelerator pedal (I think) and not what is needed under the hood. Thanks for any help in advance......Steve

Go to the EPC and find the part numbers for what you want. The Classic Center can probably still get them for you.

Throttle Bushings Solved

The bushings needed are used to support the rod (366 in parts blow-up). These were missing and the throttle rod was flopping around in the brackets. The solution turned out to be a fabrication. I got a bathroom sink drain repair kit. The kit has three different diameter plastic spheres and a rod to fix the stopper in a bathroom sink. The largest diameter ball was just right to fit mined. In a drill press (with vise) the proper size holes were drilled and a metal washer was added to keep the spring away from the plastic. Then the rod was lubed and fitted into the two brackets and so far it works best kind! Thanks for all the responses and if anyone needs more info, don't hesitate......Kind Regards
