Late model wheels?

i have a 71 280se, i've been thinking about how it would look with late model amg style wheels. Anyone ever do this? Have any photos?

Thanks.

Maybe the W129 style AMG wheels, but the smaller spoked ones just don't look quite right... My personal opinion - gimp/photoshop would let you overlay wheels to play around with look/size quite easily... Depending on what other work you've done - you might not like the mix of finishes; with the factory chrome, the dull/darker finish may not be what you really want.

My personal opinion - based on watching the progress on a W108 in the neighborhood - started on stock wheels, upgraded to the 'normal' w126 wheels, now he's running on BBS RS - the lack of the big chrome there really detracts (and lets face it - it hides a lot - brakes aren't that nice to look at).

I have 18x8 and 9 Monoblocks on my 71 4.5 right now.

and had 18x8 Fikse FM-10's on it before..

I've been playing around with spacers to get the stance correct... I will post a couple new pics with the fit.
