Awesome thread! I just finished a roadtrip from Tamps to Los Angeles in my 1979 Ford Thunderbird (sorry all...!) and didn't have a single issue.

Now I'm looking to sell it and move into something smaller with just as much character... scouring Craigslist daily to hopefully find a Mercedes diesel coupe, 65-85.

I live here in West Hollywood- and I do see these on occasion mostly in the nicer parts of LA though, and when you do see vintage Mercedes around town they're usually drool-worthy.
