Battery for 1969 280SL

I am having trouble locating a reasonably priced MB battery for this car. On line sources give the retail price at $238, and the MB classic car center will sell it for that, minue 15% for MB Club members ($202). The problem is, they can't ship it.

My local MB dealer wants over $300 for the same battery (including tax), nearly $100 difference.

Any one got recommendations for getting an MB brand battery shipped to me for a reasonable price?

PS> These batteries are a tight fit and other brand batteries may be tought to install.

Why do you want a Mercedes brand battery? Lead, acid and a plastic container are ubiquitous and perform the same function, whether with a "Mercedes" or "AC Delco" or "Pep Boys" sticker on it ...

I paid something like $85 for the battery in my 108, and I got it from Walmart 5 years ago.

+1 to Grube. A battery (being a wear and tear item of a car) can be excused by purists.
