Question 1971 300SEL Dome/Entrance Light stays on...HELP

Don't Know if the two are related but I cleaned my engine bay yesterday... and today I noticed that my entrance light in the driver's footwell & the dome light will not go off when the doors are closed. I tested both switches in the front doors & they work fine. I'm not sure what is keeping the lights from turning off. I checked my service manual & it makes mention of a entrance light delay module of some sort yet it doesn't say where it is, so I can't check that.... If anyone has encountered this problem please let me know how you fixed it.. I've taken the bulb out as of now to keep the battery from draining.

Some of the old vintage (like mine) MB's have a switch on the front dome light above the rear view mirror. If in the wrong position, the light will stay on. Something to check, if yours has this setup.

Post Found it at last.....

Finally found the location of the interior light Delay relay... After trial & error & pulling Damn near every relay from underneath the hood. I found it on the passenger side of the firewall in the upper bank of relays. It is the relay that is last in the row of relays. It has 4 wires in it's connection... (1 Brown, 1 green& white, and 2 red & white wires).. The underside of the relay has four posts that are marked "30" , "31", "L", and "S". --- With that being said.. if anyone is parting out a W109 or W108 that is close to my 1971 vintage & would like to sell or give away an unneeded relay I'd greatly appreciate it.

Post Relay Needed

In need of a Courtesy Light Delay Relay for my w109... Maybe one from a W108 might work also... I will attach a pic of where the relay is located in my car... On the bottom of the relay should be 4 prongs. they are labeled "30, 31, L, & S" ... If you have an extra one lying around let me know....
