Facelift On My New '65 W111, And More Mods To Come

Well it's not actually new to me, I've had it for years and this is the third time I've painted it. Satin black this time with silver top. More pics to come. Later.

Some side on or 3/4 shots would be good so the contrast with the roof can be seen.
What colour is your interior?
My project was meant to be satin black, but I ended up going with gloss. Satin is very easy on the eyes.

Here's how it looked when blue and how it rolls now with satin black and silver. Later.

I like the current look more including the original head lights, and these rims on top are almost a crime scene.

I'm loving it!!!! I cant decide how I want to paint mine. I love the dull but deep black paint. The theory of a rat rod benz is kinda contadicting but I love it and you dont see any. Not saying your going for the rat rod look but I like what youve done. Please post more pics

Looks good 50.
Can you tell me about your lowering? How much lower than stock? How did you achieve the lowering? Any adverse effects? How badly do the inside of the rear tyres wear out? Makes such a big difference to the look.
Thanks, Drew

I think the lowering does make it look much more aggressive. What did you
do to lower it? I am also planning on lowering mine, I did pick up some spring
clamps and was going to give them a try (I know! its a Mercedes) but I
don't like the way mine drive with the front end up in the air compared to the rear, I want the front a bit lower than the rear.

Anyway, your car looks great. Post more photos.

Thanks guys, I'm satisfied with the look. I had a couple colors in mind, was going to go satin white or all satin black but a couple weeks ago while spraying some parts on my SD I decided to do the top silver and the rest satin black. As for lowering it's dropped about 4"-5" don't remember it's been so long. I remember I cut a few coils, maybe someone could count the amount of stock coils and I'll tell you how many I cut, also give me a stock fender measurement to see how much of a drop I got. Later.
