Zenith Carb running too rich

Is there a quick and dirty way to adjust the richness of the carb. I have seen the online manual and they all involve taking things apart down the float. Is there a simple adjustment screw. My rear carb is running too rich.

Sorry, no simple adjustment, but you might check the air bleeds on the top of the carb for restriction. Just makes sure the top of the carb. is completely clean....no debris, dirt, etc. If that's not it, you'll have to take the lid off. It's real easy to do. I had a leaking float about 10 years ago that started filling with fuel sinking it. This raised the fuel level and flooded the engine. I was away from home at the time, so I took the top off with the factory tool kit, poked a couple small holes in the top of the brass float, emptied the fuel out of it and put it back together and was able to drive it home. Replaced the float....as I said on your earlier post, they are the same as an early VW Bug float. MB wanted about $45 for one, I got two used from the VW parts recycler for $5. If you pull the top, check the acelerator pump while you're at it.
