Oil Drain Plug

Hello Everyone,
I have a 1971 w114 with the 2.8 L I-6. Does anyone know what size hex head fits the oil drain plug? Also do you know any retailers that carry that size hex wrench?

It's metric, not SAE. Does it have a male hex head or a female place for an allen wrench? Either one is going to be metric.

Any parts place, Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace Hardware.....will have them. They are usually sold in sets, but you may be able to find a single wrench someplace.

Good luck.

I think it's a 16mm allen wrench. Big sucker.

My dad used to use a suitably sized bolt and a pair of vice grips...
