I was just seeing if anyone on this forum has every used their classic benz to cheuffeur, like at weddings and proms. How much do you charge for doing something like this. I know you have to have the cheuffer license, in Ar. you actually only need a passenger license. Anything else I should know? Was thinking about doing weddings in the area. Thanks guys!!
I know a couple of club friends who use their personal MBs for such purpose. Models used are 115, 124 and 126. They personally drive them and I heard they make good money in the process.
Not pro. But, I drove my grandmother + her twinbrother to their 80's birthday some years ago. And used my 280 SE W126 for that job.
Plus, my sister booked me and my W140 400SE for her upcoming wedding.. But, I sold the car last year, so that's not happening..
I've used my W116 for several weddings, always for work colleagues or their friends. I've never made money from it but have helped make that bride's special day just that bit more special.
A friend does that with his Austin Princess. He gets all dressed up and puts on quite a show. Does it for "free" since the the state's requirements are a PITA. However, he does accept the "sharing" of expenses.
