Post seat restorations

i was wondering if there was a product that brings out the original "blackness" of the seats. they are in great condition, but a little "grey" in the grooves. ive tried stuff like armor all and other things but it only makes it shinny for a while.

Have you thought of redying the seats? It's actually pretty easy, and it's not that expensive.

Seat restoration can involve everything from an individual vinyl or leather repair to full restoration of the seat including repairs & color restoration of original OEM cover and belt or cover replacement, to seat logo reinstall, to repairs, restoration.

i dont need new seats. they are in 100% condition, just getting a little faded.

now i seen this stuff made by the people who make the black shoe polish, its a spray that you can wipe on, says its for leather/vinyl but i dont know if i put it on my seats if it will wear off on my clothes.

Go to www(dot)uphworld(dot) com. They sell dyes in spray form, in all colors.

When I redid mine, I went to the local hardware store and got a pint of ... hell, I forget the name of the stuff (acetone?) - it's nail polish remover. Using a green brillo pad, I lightly scrubbed the stuff into the seat covers (I had them out of the car to make it easy) to remove oils, armor all, dirt etc. Once dried, I sprayed the dye onto the seats, let it dry for something like 30 mins and wiped away the excess.

My seats looked brand new.

I did both front seats and both parts of the back seat, and used two cans. If memory serves, one can cost me about $20. Total cost - $50.

Total cost for brand new skins - about $2100 for everything. I liked the dyeing deal better
