Seat pad replacement - on the order of about two hours or so, not counting taking them out of the car (another hour or so).

Look at a company at www(dot)worlduph(dot)com. I've used them a lot and I like their prices and products. They've got the pads you need, as well as dyes, coverings, carpet and more. I bought two sets to redo both my front seats.

Once the seats are out,
- compress all the springs (my girlfriend pushed them in), and tie them compressed with wire, twine or some other strong string.
- remove the skins. They have a cardboard strip sewn to the bottom, which is folded over itself and put into a lip to keep the skins in place
- remove the old pads. I suspect they'll have crumbled to bits, so that shouldn't be too tough. They're formed to fit the seat and back, and held in place with the seat covering
- replace the pads, and put the skins back on. Remember to fold that retaining strip over itself before forcing it back into the lip.
- cut the string/wire and allow the springs to go free.

Job done.

When I did mine, I was stationed in CA, and found a guy doing the same thing with his interior. He had a bunch of old blankets that he had sewn together in the shape of the pads, and used them in place of "proper" pads. After it was all said and done, it all felt the same... I suppose if you go to Good Will or something, you can find that kind of thing for pennies...

Good luck!
