Well GOSH, Qwunta. Did someone forget to feed you your anti psychotics today?
And out of curiosity, how did we go from a pretty interesting discussion on engine harnesses and ECU's, to a psychotic madcap regarding you in your wheel chair and an invitation for us to go ram it?
He's probably still angry after he got his ass chewed in Australia for doing some really shitty engineering and refusing to listen to those down under who were doing engine swaps before he was born.
His main problem was the GM and Ford boys were filling his head with talk about 9" diffs and so on. I can never understand the need for Rack and pinion steering because it doesn't feel as good as a Merc box when driving hard. Again the GM and Ford boys ,who have shit in their cars, need to install R&P steering and again there was much influence coming from the wrong 1/4's.
I've seen it all, driven a lot of them and still haven't driven anything to beat my 1969 Mercedes 300SEL 6.3 .
Back to the Topic, Install what ever is handy ,especially if there is no money involved.
I was talking with a guy here once who told me of days working in Los-Angeles for Herbert and Meeks speed shop. His main job was swapping V8's into mercs. Starting with pontons, they installed a lot of Ford V8's because of the sump layout .Some were autos,Some 4 speeds.
There was even a Buick Alloy 215 into a 190SL. I wonder how many of these cars are still around?
A ponton 220SE cab is seriously valuable car today ,even one with a Ford engine...LOL.
