Post 1977 300D, "rocker arm" in the engine?

hi everyone!

im new in the benzworld. i got interested in your site because i have my newly bought vintage benz, model 300D, from my uncle. This is my first car, though its old and second hand car, i learned to love and care for it. i think its a 1976 model of 300d benz. its very durable. its not overused because my uncle was often out of the country and its most of time in the garage. now its mine. i want to have the most of it.

can you please advise me of what shall i do with my newly bought vintage benz? Sometimes, when i press the accelerator, there's something that sounds not normal. They said its the rocker arm inside the engine. Im not familiar of auto problems. please advise me..

thanks!

Amar

You will get actual replies if you go down a few pages to the W123 forum where the experts are. There should be a W123 FAQ there as well. Read the postings on your type of MB.

Your car is very simple, durable and easily repairable.

Not part of the in-crowd since 1952. It's BRAKES not breaks. You break a bone, use brakes to stop your car. /rant
