72 280se 4.5 Receiver/Dryer Substitute

As the correct receiver/dryer for this model is no longer available, does anyone have a suggestion for another?

The 4.5 liter 280se requires a vertically positioned 11"x2" (approx) receiver/dryer that mounts to the right of the condenser in front of the radiator.

Thanks to all,

Doug in Louisiana

The compressor and the rest of the associated hardware are used in GM products of that vintrage, assuming this is the 280 SE 4.5 L. So a dryer for let's say a 1973 impala should work.

GM Interchange

Thanks a bunch! I'm off to my local CarQuest.
BTW-My 88 Jag XJS is exactly the same scenario. Beside the AC, even a lot of the drive-line components are GM spec.

In many of the Jags, one can swap in a chevy V-8 without having to change mounts.
