Called Classic Center. R side bottom srping rubber donut is gompletely gone, L one is half gone...New replacements are $12.00 ea. Top one comes in 3 different heights, 8, 12 and 24 mm. I will have to check to see what I have as I really like the rear "sagging" look and do not want to change it. Front link pin rubber bushings are kind of dry, so I will replace them too. $2.50 each. Found new Bilstein front shocks (2 bars) for $85 ea. Plus I ordered a set of W201 oem wheels. My buddy will powder coat the 13"s to color match the car and re-chrome the hubs and rings. Tires are Cocker's and srill have the "knobbies" on them.
I sand blasted the rear valance. I needed some practice and since it showed lots of wounds with side walk fights through out the years and since the bumper was off, I thought "why not?" Not even a speck of rust, I hammered the bumps to the best I could, POR15 it, then epoxy primmed it, sanded it and color matched it to the rest of the car. Brackets were blasted, POR15'ed and used this time eastwood's extreme chassis black. Monday will do the front end.
Something else that blew my mind: Last gas tank (14 gal) gave me 150 miles city. After this last brake job, 105 miles used 5.5 gal city... Can't wait to see the new bumpers... I am also restoring both plates, "since I am there".
