Exclamation Keys locked in 1974 240D (w115)

My brother seems to have locked the keys in the car, there are no spare keys, and the pneumatic locks don't work. The manual windows refuse to respond to coaxing from the outside, and the doors are solidly shut. It doesn't seem that we could even get a coat hanger in.

He also moved recently and had all of his belongings stolen, so he can't afford a locksmith and we'd like to get it open before it's towed. Any tips or quirks of w115s that might help? Thanks!

Edit: It's a 4-speed manual too, as if it would make any difference. The keys are sitting in the center console tray, just behind the shifter.

If you have valid papers, and the locks are original, then order a spare-key from the dealer.. You should have a spare key...

Thanks, but the dealer is probably 200 hundred miles away, and I don't know if he can afford that at the moment anyway..

There's not that many choises really..
1. Break the window and get the key.. (Best to get your hands on a spare-window first then) The cheapest windows are the rear-side windows on the sedan..
2. Order a new key by phone at the dealer.
3. Locksmith
4. You don't do anything, and the car get's towed (That will most likely include some cost as well as the loss of a cool car..)

There's no easy way into a Mercedes...

can probally get a flat bar thru the door window frame, pull open a bit, then get a wire on the lock and pull it up....

and in the meanwhile call classic center and get an extra key......

Or find somebody else with an old Mercedes, sometimes the lock works with another key.

If I had no choice I would break the one that's easiest to replace. Later.

order a key from the dealer and tow the car to your house till you get the key. That would be best, bit more costly but best
