The green 220se cab has a lot of history, my dad bought it for my mom in 1961 for $3,300.00 for their anniversary. I remember as a 5 year old kid waxing and detailing this car weekly, the car was restored a few years back, but I have so many memories from this car. I remember going skiing to Mammoth,ca with my parents and my 2 sisters crammed in the back seat with the ski rack on the back and 5 people in this cab. In the trunk was all our ski boots, luggage, and poles ect. It was crowded, not to mention that 2.2 litre engine pulling us up those steep grades, life was good
1956 300sc pretty rare, my Dad bought it in the 70's i cant remember the exact year, but he paid $3,000.00 for the car, we restored it for the 1978 pebble beach concours, the car won 1st in class and was chosen 10 most elegant, i was very hands on during the restoration of this car, we have kept this car alive for many years, its a beast to drive, heavy steering and no visibility, the engine is like the 300SL gullwing engine, 3.0 litre direct fuel injected, but it stands up straight unlike the 300SL where it lays sideways for obvious reasons.
