hi!could any one can tell me is it big job( posible) put v8 engine from w116 to w114 280e coupe!i have w116 with bad shell and w114 with no run engine ,but body is please with adwise!

It has been done before, I believe it is rather simple, especially if both cars have the same injection system.

The issue is space in the 114. You'll have to do some cutting and fabrication of custom motor mounts. Anything and everything has been done before, as long as you have the mechanical engineering skills...

I don't know about clearance issues with the firewall, and the brake booster. But the W114 shares a lot of chassis elements with the r107 including front subframe, ans also perhaps front chassis rails. r107s also came with V8s. Transplanting a V8 (M116 or M117) is a matter of taking the r107 V8 engine brackets (they may also be the same on the W116s) and it's a straight fit on the W114 engine mounts and front subframe.
