W115 Radiator Problems

I'm having massive problems tracking down a new radiator for my 74 W115 230/4 auto so here's the question:

Seeing as the W123 230 carb has the same engine does it also have the same cooling equipment i.e the same radiator?

Your help would be greatly appreciated

Many of the older radiators can be cleaned and re-cored. Is that an option?

According to EPCnet (assuming your car is 115017blablabla your radiator is part number A1155010601 or part number A1145011301 depending on your chassis number.

A1155010601 is common to 115. 005 017 010 000 002 series cars (not 123 cars)

A1145011301 is common to 114. 023 073 (coupes) 011 060 005 007 008 015 017 021 and
is common to 115. 010 017 000 002 010 015 115

I think that means that you can't use a 123 radiator.

I have always had radiators re-cored and they have worked well.

The 114 part shows as available in the states: MSRP $1310, discount price $1177
The 115 part does not show as available.
If the 114 part is available in the states then it is most likely available in Europe, but I would re-core instead at those prices...
