It might be fun to add a small american v8as they are cheaper then fixing an old nissan engine and get the power you need to move.Looks like a fun project and a unique car.

We have taken a crate 350 into consideration. I would have to rebuild the suspention though due to weight difference. Not sure where I could find stiffer springs to fit.

So far I've gotten some tiny pin holes on the gas tank fiberglassed over and a tear taken care of. Filled the tranny and differentials with fluid. Also got it registered today. Lady in the registration office seemed very interested in the car.

Will keep you all posted.

You mention the old electric wiring in a box...I wonder if you still have it.
If so, I badly need one for my old Ponton.
