And the mentioned book.. The book tells you all you need to know about the engine, drivetrain and most of the suspension.. And afaik, the closest and cheapest you can get to a workshop manual..
Just as I needed to buy a book for the W123, to get a manual on the M110 engine in my W126 280SE.. You take what you get..

Maybee the car came later in the US, but the W108 model came in 1967, and lasted until 1971 So your chassi should be in that book... Do you have a link ?

Fleabay is best for one. Just a 108 manual, about 400 pages or so IIRC. There is no lock nut on the rocker balls, they are an interference fit.
