turn signal relay

the flasher/turn signal relay went out on my 71 108. the wiring harness for this has 6 plugs. I was wanting to replace the original relay with a generic "Buss" flasher relay with 3 prongs. The OEM replacement is $120, that is why I want to go this generic way. I just can't seem to figure out how to configure the wiring. all I know is which pins have continuous 12v. Any one ever done this or knows the wiring on that harness? I haven't had the car out for a week now, cause the blinkers don't work...it's driving me crazy.

If you dont find one I can sell you one for 1/2 of the new one, its used but I know it works. Does yours have the light on the end of it if you screw the button off?

My flasher went out as well and I didn't like the price of the replacement. I figured out how to rewire using 3 standard flashers with crimp on connectors (spade and bullets) that gives me turn signel and E flasher. If interested in going this route, get back in touch and I'll pull this section and color code a wireing diagram for your install. My is for a 230/6 114 but I'll label what the leads go to if yours are colored differently.
