Synching Carbs

I'd like to learn how to synch and adjust my Zenith Carbs. Had them rebuilt and synch'd a year and a half ago and have since put less than 200 miles on. But it's been suggested that they get adjusted.

I know I need a unisync and this link seems to present a clear guide for calibration.

I can usually crack a manual and figure it out, but knowing how complicated the carbs are I'm wondering if this is reccomended from senior members. It looks like I can do it, but assuming this is typically my first mistake.

Why do you think they need to be re-synch'ed? Did the rebuilder not do it right? Once done "correctly" they should never have to be done again, unless someone messes with something. Example: My Dad bought a new 250S in 1967. It was given to me when he passed, and I have now given it to my son. It has never had to have the Zenith's re-synch'ed and, so far, all carb. work needed has been done without having to remove them. Good, dependable units, IMO.

Good advice

If your carbs were properly sync'd when you had them rebuilt, and they are now out of sync, something else is wrong. Likely culprits are a vacuum leak or a plugged idle circuit on one carb.
