"MERC" number plate...will it fetch a price?

I know the days of custom plates as investments have slowed down, but Just wandering if the number plate "MERC" would be considered pricey?

I'd love to know what car exhibits these plates.
I'm from Australia by the way.

I doubt it. It's redundant over here. People would prefer an engine code or a chassis nickname rather than the brand which is not terribly unique as it used to be.

Someone in a W126 in my town has BENZO. SO jealous, but I wouldn't be laying down extra cash to get ahold of it.

It's an abstract question really, there may be no-one in AU who would want it but yet a single person to whom it's priceless so why not give it a shot and see? I'm not sure the laws there for transferring private plates to others but most regions allow it for vanity plates. Maybe list it on the local craigslist site or Australian eBay? Maybe you will have good luck.

A Merc is a Ford in this part of the world, I doubt it would fetch too much interest.
