tie rods and drag link off

I am replacing the tie rods and drag link on the front of my 1972 280 SEL 4.5L The problem is that I can get the old bits off. Not even the pickle fork works. Any ideas? Will heating help or cause more problems?

Don't use heat on suspension parts. I got mine off using a ball joint sepaarator to apply force to the tie rod end stud and then tapping on the drag link when the tapered stud goes through.
