'72 280SE diff options

hi all,

I was wondering what other 280SE owners had done to make their models more suitable for motorway cruising, with regards to the diff setup.

my model seems to rev pretty high when cruising at around 80kmph or above, more so than my w123 230E, which has got me thinking that the diff setup isn't exactly right.

Would love to hear from other 280SE owners

I believe that if all rubber parts, are good, tires, bearings, valve adjustment, good exhaust system, clean fan blades, all things correct.....etc....
The sounds these cars make at speed vanish into the wind noise,
They go silent. I always hear the cars next to me.
Both the w1084.5 and the w1082.8SE cars.
These motors love to have the rpms.
