Worn Flex Disc Vibration

Most likely a worn flex disc, an easy fix.

Brilliant cars, i'm on my third, providing its not rusty (always an issue here in the UK) then it should be good to go, almost everything can still be supplied at good prices by MB, some trim is a little hard to find (coupe specific stuff is harder to find though) should easilly cope with modern traffic as long as your not in a hurry in an oil burner, my 280ce quite often finds itself out in the overtaking lane and will easily run at over 110mph and still feels comfy, planted and safe on the road (private test tracks only officer)

I have an itch to do some wrenching on real car.

Can you explain the glow plug thing?
Where are you located?

I was just in Green Bay and Peshtigo all week.....even then that would have been a haul.

The glow plug starts at the moment you get spring tension in position 2. They probably just pulled it from the detent straight to the starter. The GP's stop when it's cranking to cut the load on the battery as I understand. To assist the motor you can gently re-pull on the knob to re-apply power to the plugs.

I am in Sturgeon Bay. I am heading up there this morning to check it out and maybe drive it back.

Yes, it is in the driveway. It would be great if you are in the area and you could stop in and have a look and take it for a drive. How hard is it to pull the steering wheel? There is a strange button under the dash.?? I have many questions.

A button under the dash? That's something added on.

Had this been one week sooner I could have stopped by but our work is done up there for now anyways.

I would post a photo of the underside of the kickpanel.
