Mine is the original color. I think they call it Grey Blue Metallic. Color code 906 on Data card.

Here's what I was talking about with the back seat. Not the best but a work in progress.
I've got the ecu cover off, and some punk stole my stereo!

@ Funkyd: A good re-upholstery on the seats should do the trick.... Nappa Blue leather or MB-Tex would be nice.

@ Funkyd/zeddies: Those LWB W116 really look nice.

Thanx meng. I love the sel's. I could do without the park-bench bumpers though. Where can I get the euro bumpers for it?
That would rely update the look.

Thanks benzmizer. I am ashamed to even post these.

On my list of things to do is to get the seats redone with products from either GAHH or WORLD UPHOLSTERY & TRIM

Good ol mb-tex. Your not the only one with rock hard brittle seats. Pull up the back seat and have a vacuum handy for all that 30 year old horse hair!

Ideally, the value of our dear Mercs would better if the upholstery is original and not re-upholstered BUT it sure is considered a "minor" concern to that of a fresh body.

I have the same problem, my leather seats are cracked up and needs to be replaced but that can wait.

I agree. You can get used to and imperfect interior but one little scratch has you sweating!
I think I prefer a custom interior myself. Just for the individuality factor. The dollar value of the car is of no concern to me
