Post New Benz owner, new user introduction.

Hey there all,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I am from the Socali area and i recently just purchased a 1978 300SD and i am in love. I wanted to see if there was users around where i reside. And to see what are some good local shops to check out and good Benz part places to buy from. Looking forward to participating on this board.

Andy

Andy there's a lot of diesel people in the LA, Orange County, and San Diego areas. There are also occassional meets and drives (and a lot of clackety idling!) Most are W123 drivers but the drivetrain is essentially the same. W116's aren't as popular for some reason and W115's even less. I would check out the W123 forum as that is the most active even though you have a different chassis. The W116 forum is gathering cobwebs but you can post there too.

Please do post pictures as that will usually generate more replies.
