Post 60's Mercedes Restoration or Service Source

I am in the San Francisco Bay area, down towards San Jose. I am looking for someone who can service, help restore, or even answer questions regarding older 60's era Mercedes. It would be great if I could find someone who has a passion for this sort of thing rather than just looking to make a buck. Anyone have a good suggestion? Maybe a local club?

Thanks

Are you a member of the local Mercedes club branch? Probably the most fanatical group of Mercedes owners you could find and a terrific resource.

Bostosh - That's about a 2 hour drive for me, but it doesn't mean I can't give them a call for advice or make the trip. Thanks for the pointer to them. I need to find some trustworthy folks to work with. Thanks

DirectLA - Great advice. I am looking them up now.

Mercedes Benz classic center in Irvine CA is really good about answering questions with regards to parts and recommended lubricants and such. What model do you have? Feel free to drop me a line. service and restoration is my main hobby and I am sort of close (Redwood City)

I actually have not purchased anything yet, but I did own a 1964 Porsche 356 for a few years and I learned. It was a driver that needed restoration when I bought it, and it needed a bit too much for the amount of time I had. I wanted to find someone relatively nearby that I coudl work with. Thanks for the lead in Irvine - I got down to that neck of the woods farily often.
