Can Dashpad be repaired?

Hi All,

First of all, it's amazing how much information given from other members at this forum. Especially if you live far away - while restoring a classic Mercs - such information is like an oasis in the dessert.

thank you for all who has given me informaion - I hope I can do the same when other needs information.

Now, I have Mercedes 250C with Blue dashboard (dashboard pad). The age shows what it should be. There is very little crack but the colour is uneven.

I wonder if there is a company who can restore dashpad. I have heard of this. Tried to google but unable to find one.

Maybe someone can help me out?

Thank you all!

You can always paint to restore the color. Pick up the proper leather dye and have at it.

When I was younger and worked at a dealership we had a guy come in to dye the seats, dash, etc. on used cars that had become worn but structurally sound. He used an airbrush and applied the dye GermanStar spoke of. I'd bet these guys operate in most places so maybe you could ask a used car lot for a local recommendation.

Hi GermanStar,

Do you remember the name / brand of the dye? Can it be colour matched?
Thank you all!
