Just run the heavy lead from the alternator to the large terminal on the three terminal block. that is the main battery charging lead. On the regulator there are three wires. Unpick the insulation so you expose the blue wire. That is the charging light wire,connect it to the small terminal on the rear of your new alternator. The other two wires are now redundant. Remove the regulator and put it away somewhere safe.
If you are going from the standard W107 alternator to a larger capacity alternator you MUST run a new main wire of larger diameter to the terminal block. If you use the original smaller wire it will fry!
