My W114

Hey guys, just picked up a '75 280! She's a real champ, even with her flaws, and I can't wait to start fixing her up!
The Audi is my daily driver and is the lowest A4 in the nation (like it or not); she's my pride and joy. To stop people from worrying, I'm not planning on taking the Benz to the same level. The purpose of 114 is to be a comfortable, stylish, Sunday driver.

Current issues are that it slowly dies at stops, maybe a vacuum leak since the brakes are applied and taking vacuum? Also, squeeling brakes, saggy headliner, dead muffler, mismatched tire, gauge lights, worn out rear seat, and mild oil burning. Lastly, the blinkers don't blink but merely sit on; probably a flasher.

Haven't gotten her in the garage yet to do a one-over, but there doesn't seem to be any rust issue! Let me know what you all think, and I'll use this as my main question/restoration/modification thread!

congrats on the purchase. The w114 in any form is a personal favorite of mine. Having owned dozens of them I can tell you that this car will bring you great joy.

"I don't know anything for a fact",but have lots of opinions that might or might not pan out!

Is anything vacuum operated or vacuum assisted on this car? I'm sure the brakes are, but what about wipers, heater controls, carburator secondaries, and all else?
